During a particular season of life, I read through the New Testament of the Bible, and there was a repeated call to “have ears to hear,” and be quick to listen. The authors of the scriptures are calling to all to be willing to hear and respond to the message of the Bible, the gospel, the good news of salvation. I was so intrigued by this contrast, a universal calling and the way that ears are absolutely unique to each human. Even on the same head, the right and left ear can look totally different. The ears included in this work span coworkers, professors, and friends who model well listening in some way.
